Locked ECU? Already in the price. Every S5 from the 2024 generation has a locked ECU. It can’t be unlocked on our bench, so the ECU is sent away to be unlocked, and the £399 is already included in the prices shown. The vehicle must stay with us for 3–4 working days. How much power will a Stage 1 remap add to an Audi S5?

Gains vary by engine. The strongest on the Audi S5 is the S5 3.0 TFSI, which goes from 333bhp and 440Nm to 400bhp and 520Nm, a gain of 67bhp. Find your engine in the table above for its own numbers.

What does an Audi S5 remap cost?

Prices start at £549 inc VAT for Stage 1 on an Audi S5. Each engine in the table shows its own price, and adding gearbox tuning at the same time saves £125. Bumper 0% finance over 6 months and Klarna are both available.

Will my Audi S5 need unlocking before it can be tuned?

It depends on the engine as much as the year. Audis from roughly mid-2020 are locked, and so is the 4.0 V8 TFSI regardless of age. Either way we sort the unlocking: in-house on our bench or sent away, your choice, except the 4.0 V8 ECUs, which have to go away. Give us your reg and we will tell you which applies to yours. Do I need any hardware for Stage 2 on an Audi S5?

It depends on fuel. Diesels need a DPF delete (off-road use only) and an uprated intercooler; petrols need a decat or sports cat downpipe plus an uprated intercooler. Stage 2 cannot be mapped safely on a standard car, so if yours has no supporting hardware we will fit Stage 1 instead.

Does a remap invalidate the warranty or insurance on an Audi S5?

A remap is an aftermarket modification, so it is your responsibility to declare it to your insurer. It may also affect any remaining manufacturer warranty. Our maps are fully reversible: the car can be put back to its factory software whenever you need.

How long will my Audi S5 be with you, and can it be undone?

Most Stage 1 tunes take around two hours. Where we can unlock the ECU on our own bench it is done during the same visit, with no extra time; on the engines whose ECU has to be sent away, allow 3–4 working days. It is completely reversible: the car can go back to its factory software whenever you need.
