What gains can I expect from Stage 1 on an Audi A4?

It depends which engine you have. Across the 57 Audi A4 engines we tune, the 3.0 TFSI V6 sees the biggest Stage 1 gain: 272bhp to 400bhp and 400Nm to 520Nm, up 128bhp. Every figure on this page is for that exact engine.

How much does it cost to remap an Audi A4?

Does my Audi A4 need its ECU unlocking?

Quite possibly. Most Audis built from around June 2020 have a factory-locked ECU, and the 4.0 V8 TFSI cars (SQ7, SQ8, RS6, RS7, RSQ8, S8 and the V8 A8, Q7 and Q8) are locked well before that date too. We unlock them here on our own bench the same day, or send the ECU away for a lower price; the 4.0 V8 ECUs can only go the send-away route. What does Stage 2 need on an Audi A4?

It depends on fuel. Diesels need a DPF delete (off-road use only) and an uprated intercooler; petrols need a decat or sports cat downpipe plus an uprated intercooler. Stage 2 cannot be mapped safely on a standard car, so if yours has no supporting hardware we will fit Stage 1 instead.

Will remapping my Audi A4 affect my warranty or insurance?

You will need to tell your insurer, as with any modification, and it can affect a remaining manufacturer warranty. Every map is reversible, so the Audi A4 can be put back to its factory software at any point.

How long does it take, and is it reversible?

Allow roughly two hours for Stage 1, including any ECU unlock on our own bench. Everything is reversible: the Audi A4 can go back to its factory software on request.
