What does Stage 1 tuning do for an Audi A6?

Every Audi A6 engine is different, which is why they are listed separately above. At the top end the RS6 4.0 V8 picks up 140bhp, going 600bhp to 740bhp with torque up to 1050Nm.

How much is Stage 1 tuning on an Audi A6?

An Audi A6 Stage 1 is from £449 inc VAT; gearbox software is £325 on its own, or £125 less when booked with the engine tune. Finance is 0% over 6 months with Bumper, or choose Pay in full when you book and pay with Klarna.

Is the ECU locked on an Audi A6?

On plenty of them, yes. The later cars are locked from the factory, and the 4.0 V8 models are locked whatever the year. We handle all of it, on our own bench or sent away. What supporting mods does an Audi A6 need for Stage 2?

It depends on fuel. Diesels need a DPF delete (off-road use only) and an uprated intercooler; petrols need a decat or sports cat downpipe plus an uprated intercooler. Stage 2 cannot be mapped safely on a standard car, so if yours has no supporting hardware we will fit Stage 1 instead.

What happens to my warranty and insurance if I tune my Audi A6?

You will need to tell your insurer, as with any modification, and it can affect a remaining manufacturer warranty. Every map is reversible, so the Audi A6 can be put back to its factory software at any point.

Can the remap be reversed, and how long does it take?

Allow roughly two hours for Stage 1, including any ECU unlock on our own bench. Everything is reversible: the Audi A6 can go back to its factory software on request.
