What does Stage 1 tuning do for an Audi Q2?
It depends which engine you have. Across the 11 Audi Q2 engines we tune, the 30 TDI 2.0 sees the biggest Stage 1 gain: 116bhp to 195bhp and 300Nm to 430Nm, up 79bhp. Every figure on this page is for that exact engine.
How much does it cost to remap an Audi Q2?
Stage 1 custom dyno tuning on an Audi Q2 starts at £449 inc VAT, and gearbox tuning is £325. Book both together and you save £125. You can spread it over 6 months at 0% with Bumper, or choose Pay in full when you book and pay with Klarna.
Does my Audi Q2 need its ECU unlocking?
Quite possibly. Most Audis built from around June 2020 have a factory-locked ECU, and the 4.0 V8 TFSI cars (SQ7, SQ8, RS6, RS7, RSQ8, S8 and the V8 A8, Q7 and Q8) are locked well before that date too. We unlock them here on our own bench the same day, or send the ECU away for a lower price; the 4.0 V8 ECUs can only go the send-away route. What does Stage 2 need on an Audi Q2?
It depends on fuel. Diesels need a DPF delete (off-road use only) and an uprated intercooler; petrols need a decat or sports cat downpipe plus an uprated intercooler. Stage 2 cannot be mapped safely on a standard car, so if yours has no supporting hardware we will fit Stage 1 instead.
Will remapping my Audi Q2 affect my warranty or insurance?
You will need to tell your insurer, as with any modification, and it can affect a remaining manufacturer warranty. Every map is reversible, so the Audi Q2 can be put back to its factory software at any point.
How long does it take, and is it reversible?
Allow roughly two hours for Stage 1, including any ECU unlock on our own bench. Everything is reversible: the Audi Q2 can go back to its factory software on request.
