If you are anywhere in the North West, yes. Our workshop and 4WD dyno are at Unit 20 Trinity Court, Birchwood, Warrington WA3 6QT, 2 minutes from J11 of the M62 and 5 from J21A of the M6. Warrington, Widnes, St Helens and Runcorn are all inside 15 minutes; Manchester, Liverpool, Bolton, Stockport and Chester are a 25 to 35 minute drive.

You bring the car to us. We are not a mobile remapping service, and that is deliberate. A mobile or driveway remap is a generic file flashed at the roadside with no way to measure what it actually did. Every map we write is developed and proven on our own V-Tech 4WD rolling road, so you leave with measured before and after figures for your car rather than a claim.

A custom Stage 1 dyno tune is £449 including VAT for most BMW and VAG cars. BMW B58 and M models, Audi RS and the Porsche petrol range sit higher. Gearbox tuning starts at £325, and booking an engine map and a gearbox map together saves you £125. Full pricing is on our pricing page and the quote tool gives you an exact figure for your car.

Yes, it is a same day job. Most cars are with us for around 3 to 4 hours, which covers reading the ECU, writing the map, dyno runs and the road test. Locked post June 2020 BMW and Audi ECUs need bench unlocking first and are booked as a 4 hour slot. You are welcome to wait, and there is parking outside the unit.

BMW and the VAG group (Audi, VW, SEAT, Skoda, Cupra) are what we do most, and we also tune Porsche, Ford, Mercedes, Bentley, Lamborghini and Rolls-Royce. Our own figures pages list real before and after power and torque for every engine we tune, so you can see exactly what your car will make before you book.

Yes on both. We tune within the standard hardware limits, we log and check fuelling, boost and temperatures on the dyno, and we keep your original file. The map is fully reversible at any time. You do need to tell your insurer about a remap, the same as any other modification.

Most of our work comes from inside about 40 minutes, but customers regularly drive from Leeds, Preston, Stoke, North Wales and further because of the 4WD dyno. Loading all four wheels is what lets us tune xDrive, Quattro and 4Matic cars properly, and there are not many 4WD rolling roads in the region.
