Official UK V-Tech Dyno Supplier
DC Remapping UK is the official UK supplier for V-Tech dynamometers. Nine models from a mobile single-axle rig at £14,500 ex VAT to a four-brake 4WD-linked rolling road, all measuring at better than 0.1% accuracy. This page is the buying guide — what the choices actually mean, and what each one costs.
How To Choose
One: how many driven wheels. If you tune xDrive, Quattro, 4Matic or anything with an active centre differential, you need a mechanically linked 4WD rig — a single-axle dyno cannot measure those cars safely. If your work is front and rear-wheel drive, a 2WD rig is a third of the price and upgrades to 4WD later.
Two: inertial or braked. Inertial measures acceleration against a known mass — accurate, simple, and all you need for power runs and customer printouts. Eddy-current brakes let you hold a fixed rpm and throttle opening for part-throttle mapping, steady-state work and transient testing. Brakes can be added later on the inertial models.
Three: where it goes. Above-ground installs faster and can be moved; in-ground gives a flat floor and easier loading but needs a pit. Both are available on every car and van model, and the 2WD rig is also offered as a mobile unit.
Four: what you are putting on it. Car and van models take 3,000 kg per axle; the VT-2/Truck takes 15,000 kg with up to 6600 Nm of braking torque; the VT-1 is the bike and ATV rig; and the VT-PTO measures straight off a tractor power take-off.
The Range
Starting prices, ex VAT. Delivery, installation and commissioning are quoted per site.

The starting point of the range. A single-axle inertial dyno for power and torque measurement, and it can be upgraded to braked or even 4WD later. Pit, above-ground or mobile install.

Single-axle dyno fitted with one eddy-current brake (1000 Nm). Hold the car at a steady state, measure power at the wheels and run full load-control testing. Upgradeable to 4WD.

The flagship single-axle rig, two eddy-current brakes (2 × 1000 Nm) for maximum load control, transient testing and rock-steady part-throttle mapping. Pit or above-ground.

A two-axle dyno for cars with one or two driven axles. Mechanical axle synchronisation as standard, perfect for active centre diffs, xDrive and Quattro. Upgradeable to braked.

Two-axle linked dyno with two eddy-current brakes (2 × 1000 Nm). Full load-control testing on 4WD vehicles, with synchronised axles for safe, accurate runs.

The ultimate 4WD-linked rolling road, four eddy-current brakes (4 × 1000 Nm) for the highest-power builds and the most demanding load-control work. The full-fat tuner’s dyno.

A chassis dyno for measuring motorcycle power and torque, with an adjustable front-wheel holder and a wide wheelbase range. Available above-ground or for in-pit installation, and ATV-ready.

A single-axle dyno for trucks and heavy vehicles, with two eddy-current brakes and up to 6600 Nm braking torque. Inertial and braked measurement, plus road-mode testing, up to 15,000 kg per axle.
Agricultural PTO dynamometers (VT-PTO/B1 and B2, 1 × 2500 Nm and 2 × 2500 Nm) are also available — see the full V-Tech range for those and the complete specification table.

Before You Spend
A rolling road is a serious purchase and the honest starting point is whether you need to own one at all. If you are putting a handful of cars a month on it, hiring dyno time is cheaper than owning, housing and maintaining a rig — we run dyno power runs on ours at Birchwood for exactly that reason. Buying starts to make sense when the dyno is how you earn, not something you use occasionally.
When it does make sense, the mistake we see most is buying for today. Every V-Tech 2WD rig upgrades to braked and to 4WD, so the money is not written off when the work changes. The second mistake is buying more brakes than the work needs — an inertial rig measures perfectly well, and brakes are for mapping under load, not for bigger numbers.
We are a working tuning shop before we are a supplier, which is why we will talk you out of the wrong model. See how we use ours for live dyno calibration, or the full technical detail on V-Tech Dyno UK.

Buying Questions
The range starts at £14,500 ex VAT for the inertial single-axle VT-2 and runs to £77,000 for the four-brake 4WD-linked VT-4/B4. Motorcycle, truck and PTO models are quoted per enquiry. Those are prices for the rig — delivery, installation, commissioning, software setup and training are quoted per site.
Yes, and for a lot of people that is the right answer. We run dyno power runs on our own V-Tech 4WD-linked rolling road at Birchwood, Warrington — see dyno power runs to book time rather than buy a machine.
In UK usage they are the same thing. “Rolling road” is the workshop term for a chassis dynamometer — a set of rollers the car drives while power and torque are measured at the wheels. An engine dyno, by contrast, measures an engine on a stand with the gearbox and driveline removed.
Relative accuracy is better than 0.1%, from 3,000 real measurement points per second using V-Tech’s own technology. Correction to DIN, EWG, ISO or SAE standards is built into the software along with an ambient pressure and temperature weather station.
Up to 2000 HP with the appropriate configuration. V-max is 300 km/h on car and van models, 350 km/h on the motorcycle rig and 200 km/h on the truck dyno.
DynaVTECH software on the TrueForce II platform — power and torque in inertial or braked modes, constant-rpm and steady-state runs, live OBD logging of boost, AFR and temperatures overlaid on the same graph, multi-run comparison, correction standards with a weather station, and branded printouts with your own logo stored in a database.
We do. DC Remapping UK handles spec, pricing, delivery, installation, commissioning, software setup and training UK-wide, with a 24-month warranty extendable to 36 months and free software updates when serviced by V-Tech.
Because we use the same equipment. Our own V-Tech 4WD-linked dyno writes customer maps at Birchwood every week, so when we tell you whether you need brakes or whether the inertial rig will do, that is from running one commercially rather than reading a brochure.
