How much bhp does an Audi A1 gain from a remap?

It depends which engine you have. Across the 25 Audi A1 engines we tune, the S1 2.0 TFSI sees the biggest Stage 1 gain: 231bhp to 300bhp and 370Nm to 440Nm, up 69bhp. Every figure on this page is for that exact engine.

How much does it cost to remap an Audi A1?

Stage 1 custom dyno tuning on an Audi A1 starts at £449 inc VAT, and gearbox tuning is £325. Book both together and you save £125. You can spread it over 6 months at 0% with Bumper, or choose Pay in full when you book and pay with Klarna.

Does my Audi A1 need its ECU unlocking?

Quite possibly. Most Audis built from around June 2020 have a factory-locked ECU, and the 4.0 V8 TFSI cars (SQ7, SQ8, RS6, RS7, RSQ8, S8 and the V8 A8, Q7 and Q8) are locked well before that date too. We unlock them here on our own bench the same day, or send the ECU away for a lower price; the 4.0 V8 ECUs can only go the send-away route. What does Stage 2 need on an Audi A1?

It depends on fuel. Diesels need a DPF delete (off-road use only) and an uprated intercooler; petrols need a decat or sports cat downpipe plus an uprated intercooler. Stage 2 cannot be mapped safely on a standard car, so if yours has no supporting hardware we will fit Stage 1 instead.

Will remapping my Audi A1 affect my warranty or insurance?

A remap is an aftermarket modification, so it is your responsibility to declare it to your insurer. It may also affect any remaining manufacturer warranty. Our maps are fully reversible: the car can be put back to its factory software whenever you need.

How long does it take, and is it reversible?

Most Stage 1 tunes take around two hours, and if the ECU needs unlocking we do that on our own bench during the same visit, with no extra time. It is completely reversible: the car can go back to its factory software whenever you need.
