How much power will a Stage 1 remap add to an Audi A3 / A3 Sedan?

It depends which engine you have. Across the 41 Audi A3 / A3 Sedan engines we tune, the 2.0 TDI CR sees the biggest Stage 1 gain: 110bhp to 195bhp and 250Nm to 430Nm, up 85bhp. Every figure on this page is for that exact engine.

Quite possibly. Most Audis built from around June 2020 have a factory-locked ECU, and the 4.0 V8 TFSI cars (SQ7, SQ8, RS6, RS7, RSQ8, S8 and the V8 A8, Q7 and Q8) are locked well before that date too. We unlock them here on our own bench the same day, or send the ECU away for a lower price; the 4.0 V8 ECUs can only go the send-away route. What does Stage 2 need on an Audi A3 / A3 Sedan?

It depends on fuel. Diesels need a DPF delete (off-road use only) and an uprated intercooler; petrols need a decat or sports cat downpipe plus an uprated intercooler. Stage 2 cannot be mapped safely on a standard car, so if yours has no supporting hardware we will fit Stage 1 instead.

Will remapping my Audi A3 / A3 Sedan affect my warranty or insurance?

A remap is an aftermarket modification, so it is your responsibility to declare it to your insurer. It may also affect any remaining manufacturer warranty. Our maps are fully reversible: the car can be put back to its factory software whenever you need.

How long does it take, and is it reversible?

Most Stage 1 tunes take around two hours, and if the ECU needs unlocking we do that on our own bench during the same visit, with no extra time. It is completely reversible: the car can go back to its factory software whenever you need.
