What gains can I expect from Stage 1 on a BMW 8-Series?
It depends which engine you have. Across the 2 BMW 8-Series engines we tune, the M850i sees the biggest Stage 1 gain — 530bhp to 680bhp and 750Nm to 850Nm, up 150bhp. Every figure on this page is for that exact engine.
How much does it cost to remap a BMW 8-Series?

Does my BMW 8-Series need its ECU unlocking?
If it was built from around June 2020 onwards, yes — those ECUs are locked from the factory and have to be unlocked before anything can be written. We do it in-house. Enter your registration on the booking page and we will tell you straight away whether yours is affected.
Will remapping my BMW 8-Series affect my warranty or insurance?
You will need to tell your insurer, as with any modification, and it can affect a remaining manufacturer warranty. Because we save your original software first, the BMW 8-Series can be put back to standard at any point.
How long does it take, and is it reversible?
Allow roughly two hours for Stage 1, or a half-day if the ECU needs unlocking first. Everything is reversible: we store your original software so the BMW 8-Series can go back to stock on request.
