What does Stage 1 tuning do for a BMW M3?

It depends which engine you have. Across the 7 BMW M3 engines we tune, the M3 sees the biggest Stage 1 gain: 431bhp to 500bhp and 550Nm to 680Nm, up 69bhp. Every figure on this page is for that exact engine.

How much does it cost to remap a BMW M3?

Does my BMW M3 need its ECU unlocking?

If it was built from around June 2020 onwards, yes. Those ECUs are locked from the factory and have to be unlocked before anything can be written. We do it in-house. Check your registration and we will tell you straight away whether yours is affected. Check if your ECU is locked ›

What does Stage 2 need on a BMW M3?

A decat or sports cat downpipe and an uprated intercooler. Stage 2 is not something we can map safely on a standard car, so without the hardware we would fit Stage 1 and you can step up once it is fitted.

Will remapping my BMW M3 affect my warranty or insurance?

You will need to tell your insurer, as with any modification, and it can affect a remaining manufacturer warranty. Because we save your original software first, the BMW M3 can be put back to standard at any point.

How long does it take, and is it reversible?

Allow roughly two hours for Stage 1, or a half-day if the ECU needs unlocking first. Everything is reversible: we store your original software so the BMW M3 can go back to stock on request.
