BMW 6-Series Gran Turismo remapping questions

How much power will a Stage 1 remap add to a BMW 6-Series Gran Turismo?
It depends which engine you have. Across the 4 BMW 6-Series Gran Turismo engines we tune, the 640i sees the biggest Stage 1 gain — 340bhp to 400bhp and 450Nm to 580Nm, up 60bhp. Every figure on this page is for that exact engine.
How much does it cost to remap a BMW 6-Series Gran Turismo?
Stage 1 custom dyno tuning on a BMW 6-Series Gran Turismo starts at £449 inc VAT, and gearbox tuning is £385. Book both together and you save £125. You can spread it over 6 months at 0%, or pay in 3 interest-free instalments with Klarna.
Does my BMW 6-Series Gran Turismo need its ECU unlocking?
If it was built from around June 2020 onwards, yes — those ECUs are locked from the factory and have to be unlocked before anything can be written. We do it in-house. Enter your registration on the booking page and we will tell you straight away whether yours is affected.
What does Stage 2 need on a BMW 6-Series Gran Turismo?
It depends on fuel. Diesels need a DPF delete (off-road use only) and an uprated intercooler; petrols need a decat or sports cat downpipe plus an uprated intercooler. Stage 2 cannot be mapped safely on a standard car, so if yours has no supporting hardware we will fit Stage 1 instead.
Will remapping my BMW 6-Series Gran Turismo affect my warranty or insurance?
A remap is an aftermarket modification, so it is your responsibility to declare it to your insurer. It may also affect any remaining manufacturer warranty. Our maps are fully reversible and we keep your original file, so the car can be returned to stock whenever you need.
How long does it take, and is it reversible?
Most Stage 1 tunes take around two hours, and cars needing ECU unlocking are booked as a 4-hour half-day. It is completely reversible — your factory file is saved before we touch anything.

Other BMW models

Whichever you pick, the total carries through to checkout — pay in full by card, Apple Pay or Klarna (3 interest-free payments), or secure the slot with a £50 deposit. Figures are typical results for a healthy, standard vehicle on our dyno. Your car’s actual output depends on its condition, fuel quality and any supporting modifications. Prices shown are for Stage 1 custom dyno tuning inc VAT; locked ECUs (most BMW and Audi registered from mid-2020) carry an additional unlocking charge, confirmed when you book.
