It can’t be unlocked on our bench, so the ECU is sent away to be unlocked, and the £399 is already included in the prices shown. The vehicle must stay with us for 3–4 working days. How much bhp does a Volkswagen Tiguan gain from a remap?

It depends which engine you have. Across the 41 Volkswagen Tiguan engines we tune, the 2.0 TDI CR sees the biggest Stage 1 gain: 110bhp to 195bhp and 280Nm to 430Nm, up 85bhp. Every figure on this page is for that exact engine.

It depends on fuel. Diesels need a DPF delete (off-road use only) and an uprated intercooler; petrols need a decat or sports cat downpipe plus an uprated intercooler. Stage 2 cannot be mapped safely on a standard car, so if yours has no supporting hardware we will fit Stage 1 instead.

Where we can unlock the ECU on our own bench it is done during the same visit, with no extra time; on the engines whose ECU has to be sent away, allow 3–4 working days.
