Locked ECU? We unlock it. The 2.0 TDI registered from 2021 has a locked Bosch MD1 ECU. Two routes, your choice when you book: £449 in-house on our bench, same day with no extra time, or £399 sent away, 3–4 working days with the car staying with us. On its own, if we’re not tuning the car, it’s £549 in-house or £499 sent away. More on unlocking → Built from June 2026? What gains can I expect from Stage 1 on a Volkswagen Caddy?

It depends which engine you have. Across the 26 Volkswagen Caddy engines we tune, the 2.0 TDI sees the biggest Stage 1 gain: 75bhp to 185bhp and 225Nm to 370Nm, up 110bhp. Every figure on this page is for that exact engine.

How much does it cost to remap a Volkswagen Caddy?

What does Stage 2 need on a Volkswagen Caddy?

It depends on fuel. Diesels need a DPF delete (off-road use only) and an uprated intercooler; petrols need a decat or sports cat downpipe plus an uprated intercooler. Stage 2 cannot be mapped safely on a standard car, so if yours has no supporting hardware we will fit Stage 1 instead.

Will remapping my Volkswagen Caddy affect my warranty or insurance?

You will need to tell your insurer, as with any modification, and it can affect a remaining manufacturer warranty. Every map is reversible, so the Volkswagen Caddy can be put back to its factory software at any point.

How long does it take, and is it reversible?
