What does Stage 1 tuning do for a Seat Altea XL?

Every Seat Altea XL engine is different, which is why they are listed separately above. At the top end the 1.6 TDi picks up 50bhp, going 90bhp to 140bhp with torque up to 310Nm.

How much is Stage 1 tuning on a Seat Altea XL?

A Seat Altea XL Stage 1 is from £449 inc VAT; gearbox software is £325 on its own, or £125 less when booked with the engine tune. Finance is 0% over 6 months, or 3 payments with Klarna.

What supporting mods does a Seat Altea XL need for Stage 2?

It depends on fuel. Diesels need a DPF delete (off-road use only) and an uprated intercooler; petrols need a decat or sports cat downpipe plus an uprated intercooler. Stage 2 cannot be mapped safely on a standard car, so if yours has no supporting hardware we will fit Stage 1 instead.

What happens to my warranty and insurance if I tune my Seat Altea XL?

You will need to tell your insurer, as with any modification, and it can affect a remaining manufacturer warranty. Because we save your original software first, the Seat Altea XL can be put back to standard at any point.

Can the remap be reversed, and how long does it take?

Allow roughly two hours for Stage 1, or a half-day if the ECU needs unlocking first. Everything is reversible: we store your original software so the Seat Altea XL can go back to stock on request.
