Official UK V-Tech Dyno Supplier
A bike is not a car with two fewer wheels. It needs a narrower roller, a front-wheel holder that actually restrains the machine, and a much higher top speed than a car dyno is built for. The V-Tech VT-1 is a purpose-built motorcycle chassis dyno, ATV-ready, available above-ground or for in-pit installation.
Built For Two Wheels
The first problem is restraint. A car sits on four contact patches and is held by straps at four corners; a bike has one driven wheel and falls over. The VT-1 uses an adjustable front-wheel holder covering a wheelbase range from 1000 mm up to 1850 mm, so everything from a small single to a long-wheelbase tourer is clamped properly before a run starts.
The second is speed. Bikes pull far higher road speeds in gear than most cars, and a dyno that tops out at 300 km/h runs out before a litre sportsbike does. The VT-1 is rated to 350 km/h, and takes up to 1,000 kg per axle, which covers quads and ATVs as well as motorcycles.
Everything else is shared with the rest of the V-Tech range: 319 mm bi-prismatic knurled chrome-plated rollers, 3,000 real measurement points per second, relative accuracy under 0.1%, an optional eddy-current brake, and DynaVTECH software with live OBD logging and branded printouts.
The Range
Pricing depends on configuration and installation, so bike rigs are quoted per enquiry.

A chassis dyno for measuring motorcycle power and torque, with an adjustable front-wheel holder and a wide wheelbase range. Available above-ground or for in-pit installation, and ATV-ready.
ATV-ready, and available with an eddy-current brake as an option. Above-ground or in-pit installation.

Straight Answer
Worth being straight with you: the dyno we use daily at Birchwood is a 4WD car rolling road, not a VT-1. We are the UK supplier for the whole V-Tech range and we handle bike rigs end to end, but we are not going to pretend we map sportsbikes every week when we map cars.
What we do bring is a decade of living with V-Tech hardware and DynaVTECH software — what the build quality is actually like, how the software behaves when you are mid-map, what support is like when something needs sorting. Those things are identical across the range, and they are what most people get wrong when buying a dyno.
For the VT-1 specifically we handle spec and pricing, delivery, installation above-ground or in-pit, commissioning, software setup and training, with UK-based support, a 24-month warranty extendable to 36 months, and free software updates when serviced by V-Tech.

Buying Questions
The VT-1 is quoted per enquiry rather than sold at a list price, because configuration and installation vary more on bike rigs than on car dynos. Tell us whether you want the eddy-current brake option and whether you are going above-ground or in-pit and we will price it properly.
The adjustable front-wheel holder covers a wheelbase from 1000 mm to 1850 mm, which spans small singles through to long-wheelbase tourers, and it takes up to 1,000 kg per axle. V-max is 350 km/h, so it will not run out before a modern sportsbike does.
Yes, the VT-1 is ATV-ready.
An eddy-current brake is an option rather than standard. Inertial measurement is enough for power runs and before-and-after printouts; add the brake if you want to hold a steady state for part-throttle mapping.
Not safely or accurately. A car rig has no front-wheel restraint, the roller spacing is wrong for a single driven wheel, and the V-max is lower. If you do both, the honest answer is two rigs — or the VT-1 plus a VT-2 for cars.
Yes. As the UK V-Tech supplier we handle spec, pricing, delivery, installation above-ground or in-pit, commissioning, DynaVTECH software setup and training, with UK-based support and a 24-month warranty extendable to 36 months.
