Skoda Superb 2.0 TSI: ECU Unlock, Stage 1 Custom + TCU, 244bhp & 428Nm

24 October 2026 · DC Remapping UK

This 2023 Skoda Superb Estate 2.0 TSI came in for an ECU unlock, our Stage 1 custom dyno tune and a TCU gearbox calibration. Its owner has been to us a number of times with his previous cars, and this time it was the Superb’s turn.

ECU unlocked in-house first

Like many newer VW Group cars, its Bosch ECU left the factory locked, so we unlocked it on our own bench before carrying on with baseline runs and live data.

The numbers

On the baseline run it made 196.5bhp and 346Nm. With our calibration and the TCU gearbox calibration it made 244.4bhp and 428Nm, with 204.3bhp at the wheels. That is 47.9bhp and 82Nm more:

More torque than a 280PS Superb

Tuned, this Superb holds over 400Nm from around 2,400 to 3,700rpm and over 350Nm all the way to 4,700rpm, with 60Nm or more extra torque from around 2,450 to 5,250rpm and 40bhp or more extra power from around 3,050rpm right to the top of the stock run. For reference, Skoda’s own 280PS Superb 2.0 TSI 4x4 is rated at 350Nm.

How it was done

Diagnostics and a health check first, then the ECU unlock, then baseline runs on our 4WD linked dyno with live data logging. The engine calibration was built from there with repeated runs, the DSG gearbox was calibrated to match, and the final pulls verified the result. No generic files: a calibration written for this car, proven on our dyno.
