The SEAT Leon Cupra 290 is already a quick hot hatch, and this one came in for our Stage 1 custom dyno tune with the DSG gearbox calibrated alongside it (TCU calibration), so the engine and gearbox were developed together.

On the baseline run it made 286bhp and 373Nm, right where a 290PS Cupra should be. After the calibration it made 349bhp and 490Nm:
| Measurement | Stock | DC Stage 1 + TCU |
|---|---|---|
| Engine power | 286.2 hp @ 6,330rpm | 349.3 hp @ 6,490rpm |
| Engine torque | 373 Nm @ 4,474rpm | 490 Nm @ 3,565rpm |
| Wheel power | 245.6 hp | 311.7 hp |

The headline is the extra 117Nm, but where it arrives matters just as much. Stock, this Cupra peaked at 373Nm at around 4,500rpm. Tuned, it makes 490Nm by 3,500rpm, so it pulls hard from much lower in the rev range, and the TCU calibration lets the DSG handle that torque properly and shift with more purpose.

Diagnostics and a health check first, baseline runs on our 4WD linked dyno, then a calibration developed with live data logging and repeated runs before the final verification pulls. No generic files, original software backed up.
