Another N57-powered BMW refined properly. This BMW 640d came in for our full engine and gearbox calibration package — Stage 1 custom dyno tuning paired with xHP Stage 3 on the ZF8 — and left a very different car.

It arrived producing 305bhp and 628Nm on the baseline run. After the Stage 1 calibration and xHP Stage 3, it left delivering a strong 387bhp and 770Nm — measured, not estimated:

The aim with this setup was strong, usable performance without compromising the refinement the 6 Series is known for. The result is a huge increase in mid-range torque, sharper throttle response and effortless acceleration — the car feels significantly quicker in real-world driving while staying every bit the grand tourer.
With xHP Stage 3 installed, the gearbox becomes noticeably sharper and more responsive — quicker shift speeds, optimised torque management and far more decisive gear logic under load, letting the drivetrain fully use the extra 142Nm safely and efficiently.

All work was carried out live on our V-Tech 4WD linked dyno, with a full health check before tuning and detailed data logging throughout. No generic files. No shortcuts. Just precision N57 tuning done properly — original software backed up, fully reversible.
