BMW 530d F10: Stage 1 Custom + xHP Stage 3, 307bhp & 652Nm

30 October 2026 · DC Remapping UK

This BMW 530d (F10) came in for our Stage 1 custom dyno tune for the N57 3.0 diesel, with an xHP Stage 3 calibration for its ZF 8-speed automatic, both developed on the same visit.

The numbers

On the baseline run it made 251.5bhp and 564Nm. With our calibration and xHP Stage 3 it made 307.5bhp and 652Nm, with 271.5bhp at the wheels. That is 56bhp and 88Nm more:

More torque than a 535d

BMW’s own F10 535d makes 600Nm from the factory, or 630Nm in its later 313hp form. Tuned, this 530d made 652Nm on our rollers: more torque than either, from the 530d’s own N57.

Where the gain is

The peak is only part of it. Tuned, this 530d holds over 600Nm from around 2,150 to 3,600rpm and over 640Nm from around 2,350 to 3,000rpm, with 80Nm or more extra torque from around 2,300rpm right to the top of the run, and over 100Nm more in the upper mid-range. Power stays above 300bhp from around 3,550 to 4,000rpm, with 50bhp or more over standard from around 3,450rpm to the top. In normal driving that is the part you feel: it pulls harder through the mid-range, holds on for longer and needs fewer downshifts.

The gearbox, tuned with the engine

xHP Stage 3 was flashed into the ZF 8-speed on the same visit. It removes the factory torque limiter and raises line pressure for the extra torque, with quicker shifts in D and harder, faster shifts in Sport and Sport+, so the engine and gearbox are calibrated as one package instead of two separate jobs.

How it was done

Diagnostics and a health check first, then baseline runs on our 4WD linked dyno with live data logging. The engine calibration was built from there with repeated runs, the gearbox was flashed with xHP Stage 3, and the final pulls verified the result. No generic files: a calibration written for this car, proven on our dyno.
