This BMW 435d xDrive M Sport came in for our Stage 1 custom dyno tune for the N57 3.0 twin-turbo diesel, with an xHP Stage 3 calibration for its ZF 8-speed gearbox, both developed on the same visit.

On the baseline run it made 305.1bhp and 624Nm. With our calibration and xHP Stage 3 it made 389.2bhp and 770Nm, with 339bhp at the wheels. That is 84bhp and 146Nm more:
| Measurement | Stock | DC Stage 1 + xHP ST3 |
|---|---|---|
| Engine power | 305.1 hp @ 4,171rpm | 389.2 hp @ 4,923rpm |
| Engine torque | 624 Nm @ 2,199rpm | 770 Nm @ 2,395rpm |
| Wheel power | 254.3 hp @ 3,919rpm | 339.4 hp @ 4,155rpm |

The gain is not just at the peak. Tuned, this 435d holds over 700Nm from around 1,950 to 3,800rpm, carries more than 100Nm extra from 2,000 to 4,800rpm, with around 145Nm more through the mid-range, and stays above 380bhp from 4,000 to 5,000rpm. For reference, BMW’s F90 M5 makes 750Nm from the factory. xHP Stage 3 lets the 8-speed handle the extra torque properly, with quicker, sharper shifts.

Diagnostics and a health check first, then baseline runs on our 4WD linked dyno with live data logging. The engine calibration was built from there with repeated runs, the gearbox was flashed with xHP Stage 3, and the final pulls verified the result. No generic files: a calibration written for this car, proven on our dyno.
