Most people buy a BMW 330e for company-car tax and economy. This owner wanted to see what the G20 plug-in hybrid could really do, so it came in for our Stage 1 custom dyno tune.

The dyno measures the combined output of the 2.0 petrol engine and the electric motor. It arrived at 293bhp and 443Nm and left at 413bhp and 721Nm:
| Measurement | Stock | DC Stage 1 Custom |
|---|---|---|
| Engine power | 292.9 hp @ 5,185rpm | 413.1 hp @ 5,877rpm |
| Engine torque | 443 Nm @ 1,650rpm | 721 Nm @ 2,669rpm |
| Wheel power | 249.5 hp | 367.6 hp |

That is 278Nm more than it arrived with, peaking just after 2,600rpm. In practice the 330e pulls far harder through the mid-range, overtakes are over in a moment, and motorway pulls feel effortless, while it still drives quietly on electric power around town.

A hybrid is never a job for a generic file. Diagnostics and a health check come first, then baseline runs, then a calibration built around the car with live data logging and repeated runs, the hybrid system’s own strategies respected throughout. Original software backed up, fully reversible.
