This BMW 330e F30 plug-in hybrid came in for our Stage 1 custom dyno tune, running on 99 RON fuel, and we filmed the whole job from the first diagnostic check to the final power run.

On the baseline run it made 251bhp and 424Nm. After the calibration it made 341bhp and 618Nm:
| Measurement | Stock | DC Stage 1 Custom |
|---|---|---|
| Engine power | 251.9 hp @ 4,768rpm | 341.2 hp @ 5,049rpm |
| Engine torque | 424 Nm @ 2,261rpm | 618 Nm @ 3,017rpm |
| Wheel power | 226.1 hp | 311.8 hp |

The 330e pairs BMW’s 2.0 turbo petrol with an electric motor, and the dyno measures what the two make together. With 618Nm through the 8-speed it pulls much harder from low down, and the extra power keeps building towards the top end, so it feels quicker everywhere, not just flat out.

Diagnostics first to make sure there were no fault codes, then baseline runs on our 4WD linked dyno. The calibration was built with live data logging and plenty of revisions before the final verification pulls. No generic files, original software backed up.
