BMW 320i xDrive Touring: Stage 1 + xHP Stage 3, 269bhp & 437Nm

This BMW 320i xDrive Touring (F31, B48 2.0 turbo petrol) came in for our Stage 1 custom dyno tune with an xHP Stage 3 calibration for the ZF 8-speed.

The numbers

It made 183bhp and 290Nm on the baseline run and left making 269bhp and 437Nm, more power and torque than a standard 330i:

Over 400Nm from 2,400 to 4,600rpm

The gain is not just at the peak. Tuned, this 320i holds over 400Nm from around 2,400 to 4,600rpm and carries more than 120Nm extra all the way from 2,400 to 5,000rpm, so it pulls hard in every gear. xHP Stage 3 lets the 8-speed handle that extra torque properly, with quicker, sharper shifts.

How it was done

Diagnostics and a health check first, baseline runs on our 4WD linked dyno, then a calibration developed with live data logging and repeated runs before the gearbox was flashed with xHP Stage 3 and the final verification pulls were done. No generic files, original software backed up and fully reversible.
