This BMW 320d (F30) came in for our Stage 1 custom dyno tune for its 2.0 four-cylinder diesel, with an xHP Stage 3 calibration for its ZF 8-speed automatic, both developed on the same visit.

On the baseline run it made 179.8bhp and 391Nm. With our calibration and xHP Stage 3 it made 229.6bhp and 489Nm, with 210.1bhp at the wheels. That is 49.8bhp and 98Nm more:
| Measurement | Stock | DC Stage 1 + xHP ST3 |
|---|---|---|
| Engine power | 179.8 hp @ 4,096rpm | 229.6 hp @ 3,915rpm |
| Engine torque | 391 Nm @ 2,418rpm | 489 Nm @ 2,900rpm |
| Wheel power | 159.8 hp @ 3,671rpm | 210.1 hp @ 3,915rpm |

The gain is not just at the peak. Tuned, this 320d holds over 450Nm from around 2,250 to 3,500rpm, carries up to 105Nm more through the mid-range, and stays above 200bhp from 2,900 to 4,450rpm. For reference, BMW’s F30 325d made 218–224PS (about 215–221bhp) from the factory. xHP Stage 3 removes the gearbox’s electronic torque limiter and gives firmer, quicker shifts in Sport, sharper multi-downshifts and throttle blips in M/Sport.

Diagnostics and a health check first, then baseline runs on our 4WD linked dyno with live data logging. The engine calibration was built from there with repeated runs, the gearbox was flashed with xHP Stage 3, and the final pulls verified the result. No generic files: a calibration written for this car, proven on our dyno.
