BMW M8 Competition: Stage 2 Custom Dyno Tune, 724bhp & 1,052Nm

This BMW M8 Competition came in for our Stage 2 custom dyno tune, a calibration developed live on our dyno around this car’s own hardware and data.

The numbers

The finished calibration made 724bhp and 1,052Nm, with 635bhp measured at the wheels:

Over 1,000Nm from the S63

The 4.4 twin-turbo V8 is already an incredible engine from the factory. With a properly developed Stage 2 calibration, torque peaks at over 1,000Nm from just past 3,000rpm and it keeps pulling hard all the way to the limiter.

How it was done

Diagnostics and a health check first, then runs on our 4WD linked dyno with live data logging throughout, and repeated revisions before the final verification pulls. No generic files, original software backed up.
