This BMW M2 Competition (F87) came in for our Stage 2 custom dyno tune for the S55 3.0 twin-turbo, with an xHP Stage 3 calibration for its 7-speed DCT. As a Stage 2 car it runs downpipes and an Airtec chargecooler, on 99 RON fuel.

Its ECU had to be unlocked before it could be tuned. We did that in-house on our own bench, then carried straight on with the calibration.
On our dyno it made 525bhp and 732Nm, with 441bhp at the wheels. This sheet is the tuned run; for reference, the M2 Competition is rated at 410PS and 550Nm from the factory, and BMW’s M4 GTS at 500PS and 600Nm.
| Measurement | DC Stage 2 + xHP ST3 |
|---|---|
| Engine power | 525.0 hp @ 6,163rpm |
| Engine torque | 732 Nm @ 3,198rpm |
| Wheel power | 441.4 hp @ 6,029rpm |

Tuned, this M2 holds over 700Nm from around 3,000 to 4,400rpm, keeps more than 600Nm all the way to 6,200rpm and stays above 500bhp from 5,600 to 6,800rpm. xHP Stage 3 adds faster, harder shifts, raised clutch torque limits and launch control optimised from the GTS and CS calibrations.

Diagnostics and a health check first, then the calibration was built around this car’s hardware on our 4WD linked dyno with live data logging and repeated runs. The gearbox was flashed with xHP Stage 3, and the final pulls verified the result. No generic files, original software backed up and fully reversible.
