BMW 430d F32: Stage 1 + xHP Stage 3, 329bhp & 700Nm

This BMW 430d F32 in Estoril Blue came in for the package we recommend on almost every automatic BMW diesel: our Stage 1 custom dyno tune with an xHP Stage 3 calibration for the ZF 8-speed.

The numbers

It made 260bhp and 575Nm on the baseline run and left making 329bhp and 700Nm:

700Nm and a gearbox that can use it

The 3.0 N57 responds brilliantly to a custom calibration, and at 700Nm the gearbox matters as much as the engine. xHP Stage 3 lifts the factory torque limits and sharpens the shift strategy, so the 8-speed changes quicker and firmer and the extra torque actually reaches the road.

How it was done

Diagnostics and a health check first, baseline runs on our 4WD linked dyno, then a calibration developed with live data logging and repeated runs before the final verification pulls. No generic files, original software backed up and fully reversible.
