BMW 335d xDrive F30: Stage 1 + xHP Stage 3, 387bhp & 770Nm

The owner of this BMW 335d xDrive F30 made a round trip of more than seven hours to have it tuned with us: our Stage 1 custom dyno tune for the N57, with an xHP Stage 3 calibration for the ZF 8-speed.

The numbers

The baseline run showed a really healthy engine at 310bhp and 629Nm. After the calibration it made 387bhp and 770Nm:

More than 670Nm from 2,000 to 4,000rpm

The gain is not just at the peak. Tuned, the 335d holds over 670Nm all the way from 2,000 to 4,000rpm and makes more than 115Nm extra everywhere from 2,000 to 4,800rpm, so it pulls far harder in every gear. xHP Stage 3 removes the factory torque limiter and raises line pressure, so the 8-speed handles all of that torque, with quicker shifts in Comfort and sharper ones in Sport.

How it was done

Diagnostics and a health check first, then stock runs on our 4WD linked dyno with live data logging. The engine calibration was built from there with repeated runs, the gearbox was flashed with xHP Stage 3, and the final pulls verified the result. No generic files, original software backed up and fully reversible.
