This September 2020 BMW X6 M50d (G06) came in for our Stage 1 custom dyno tune for the quad-turbo B57 3.0 diesel, with an xHP Stage 3 calibration for the ZF 8-speed.

Being a 2020 build, its ECU had to be unlocked before it could be tuned. We did that in-house on our own bench the same day, then carried straight on with the baseline runs and the calibration.
It made 377bhp and 739Nm on the baseline run and left making 441bhp and 860Nm, more torque than an X6 M:
| Measurement | Stock | DC Stage 1 + xHP ST3 |
|---|---|---|
| Engine power | 377.8 hp @ 4,202rpm | 441.1 hp @ 4,400rpm |
| Engine torque | 739 Nm @ 2,396rpm | 860 Nm @ 2,363rpm |
| Wheel power | 324.7 hp | 392.2 hp |

The gain is not just at the peak. Tuned, this X6 holds over 750Nm from around 1,850 to 4,000rpm and carries more than 100Nm extra from 2,100 to 4,700rpm, with up to 125Nm more in the mid-range, and it stays above 400bhp from 3,400 to 4,800rpm. xHP Stage 3 removes the gearbox torque limiters and adds even faster shifts in Sport and Sport+, plus a Race Shift Map.

Diagnostics and a health check first, then stock runs on our 4WD linked dyno with live data logging. The engine calibration was built from there with repeated runs, the gearbox was flashed with xHP Stage 3, and the final pulls verified the result. No generic files, original software backed up and fully reversible.
