The 640d xDrive Gran Turismo pairs the GT’s comfort and space with the twin-turbo B57. It’s a quick car that rarely feels it, and Stage 1 makes that pace even easier to reach. It isn’t the older F06, F12 and F13 640d coupé, which has the N57.

How much bhp does a BMW 640d Gran Turismo remap add?

A G32 640d GT goes from 320bhp and 680Nm to around 400bhp and 800Nm on Stage 1: 80 more horsepower and 120Nm more torque.

Is the 640d GT the same as the 640d coupe?

No. The G32 GT has the B57; the older F06, F12 and F13 640d has the N57. We tune both. See our 640d page for the coupe.

Will it still be comfortable?

Yes. The map adds pull without making the car feel harsh or jerky; the ride and refinement don’t change.

Is the 640d GT the same engine as the X5 40d?

Yes. It is the twin-turbo B57 also found in the 740d and X5 40d, and after Stage 1 it makes around 400bhp and 800Nm like them.
