Rescuing the DPF
The car arrived at our workshop with a issue - Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) clogged with 55 grams of soot. This was causing the vehicle to underperform and produce lower power figures than it should. However, we knew just what to do. Our skilled technicians performed a meticulous service regeneration, effectively reducing the soot levels to zero grams.
With a clean bill of health, the BMW 335D 3.0 was ready for the next stage of its transformation.
Our goal with this project was to take the BMW 335D 3.0 from its factory standard 299bhp and 609nm to a jaw-dropping 386bhp and 788nm of torque.
That's an impressive increase of 87bhp and 179nm of torque, making for a truly exhilarating driving experience. We achieved this feat by custom tuning the engine's Bosch EDC17CP45 ECU and implementing xHP Stage 3 gearbox software.
To ensure the highest level of precision and safety, we tested the car on our 4WD linked Vtech dyno, which also ensured it remained perfectly compatible with the X Drive system.
