Will a remap affect my warranty or insurance?

Accepted Answer

Yes, potentially both. A remap is a modification, and most manufacturer warranties don't cover engine or drivetrain issues if a remap is detected — which it usually can be via the ECU's read data. On insurance, you're legally required to declare any modification to your insurer; failing to do so can invalidate your policy. That said, many specialist insurers cover remapped vehicles without a huge premium increase. We recommend checking with your insurer before booking, and we're happy to provide documentation of the work carried out.

How long does a remap take?

A custom dyno tune is typically 2–3 hours. Gearbox and combined packages take a little longer — we'll confirm the exact time when you book.
