Audi / VAG 3.0 TDI Oil Pressure Calibration
Modern Audi and Volkswagen Group engines often run lower oil pressure targets from factory to improve fuel economy and reduce emissions.
Low oil pressure at idle is a known characteristic on many Audi 3.0 TDI engines. Our ECU calibration increases the target oil pressure to improve lubrication and long term engine protection.
While this may help efficiency, it can leave critical engine components with less oil pressure than ideal, especially as mileage increases or when the vehicle is tuned.
At DC Remapping, we can recalibrate the ECU’s oil pressure strategy to increase the target idle oil pressure, helping improve lubrication at low RPM and idle conditions.
Benefits include:
-
Increased idle oil pressure target
-
Improved low RPM lubrication
-
Helps protect timing chains, bearings and turbocharger components
-
Recommended for tuned or higher-mileage vehicles
-
Software based calibration with no mechanical modifications required

ECU-based oil pressure strategy recalibration
-
Adjusted target pressure maps at idle and low load
-
MD1CP004 and EDC17CP54 control units
-
Designed specifically for Audi / VAG 3.0 V6 TDI platforms
-
Integrated safely within OEM operating parameters
Important: This is not a repair for an engine with existing mechanical oil pressure faults. If the vehicle has worn oil pump components, blocked oil pickups, bearing wear or existing oil pressure warnings, mechanical diagnosis will be required first.
Audi 3.0 TDI Oil Pressure Fix
We provide oil pressure calibration solutions for a wide range of Audi and VAG 3.0 TDI engines, including models equipped with MD1CP004 and EDC17CP54 ECUs.
