Another VAG diesel platform refined properly. This VW Golf GTD — the 2.0 TDI — came in for our full engine and gearbox package: a Stage 1 custom dyno calibration paired with a TCU (DSG) tune, all developed live on our 4WD linked V-Tech dyno.

It arrived producing 188bhp and 410Nm on our baseline run. After the Stage 1 calibration and TCU tune, it left making 230bhp and 502Nm — measured on the rollers, not estimated:

That’s +42bhp and +92Nm, and the difference on the road is immediate — sharper throttle response, a much stronger mid-range and significantly improved overtaking performance. The added torque transforms how the GTD drives in real-world conditions, making it feel far more responsive and effortless.

With the TCU calibration, the DSG gearbox now shifts faster, manages the increased torque correctly and delivers power more efficiently. Gear changes are cleaner, quicker and better matched to the upgraded engine output.
All work was carried out live on our 4WD linked V-Tech dyno, with a full health check before any tuning and detailed data logging throughout. The map was written for this exact car — its ECU variant, its fuel, its condition. No generic files. No shortcuts.
