About This Tune

3.0 TDI.

The Audi A5 3.0 TDI is one of the most capable V6 diesels in the VAG range — effortlessly quick and beautifully refined, yet left deliberately conservative from the factory. With a custom Stage 1 ECU calibration combined with a ZF8 TCU gearbox tune from DC Remapping, the platform is finally dialled in properly.

This A5 arrived producing 291bhp and 619Nm, and after our Stage 1 custom dyno calibration combined with the TCU tune it left delivering a strong 352bhp and 749Nm. The result is huge mid-range torque, sharper throttle response and effortless acceleration that makes the car feel significantly more responsive in everyday driving.

All work was carried out live on our dyno, with full health checks and detailed data logging throughout the process. No generic files, no shortcuts — just precision VAG tuning done properly, with the ECU and TCU developed together as one cohesive package.

TCU Calibration.

The ZF 8-speed Tiptronic fitted to the A5 3.0 TDI quattro is one of the finest automatics in the industry — strong, smooth and quick. From the factory, however, it is calibrated conservatively, holding back shift speed and torque to keep things gentle.

Our TCU calibration unlocks the full capability of the ZF8. Shift speeds become noticeably quicker, torque management is optimised and gear logic under load is far more decisive — letting the drivetrain safely and fully utilise the increased output from the Stage 1 ECU tune.

The result is an A5 that feels cohesive and genuinely rapid, with the engine and gearbox working as one. Fully reversible at any time.
