Porsche Macan S 3.0: Stage 1 Custom + TCU

A serious performance SUV, refined properly. This Porsche Macan S — the 3.0-litre V6 twin-turbo petrol — came in for our full engine and gearbox package: a custom Stage 1 dyno calibration paired with gearbox (TCU) tuning, all developed live on our 4WD linked V-Tech dyno.

The numbers

It arrived producing 340bhp and 486Nm on our baseline run. After the bespoke engine and gearbox calibration, it left making 401bhp and 617Nm — measured on the rollers, not estimated:

What the transformation feels like

That’s +61bhp and +131Nm. The aim was to enhance real-world performance while retaining the refinement and drivability Porsche is known for. The result is sharper throttle response, a huge increase in mid-range torque and effortless acceleration — transforming how the Macan feels on the road, without compromising comfort or reliability.

Why the gearbox tune matters

With the gearbox tuning carried out alongside the engine calibration, shift speeds are quicker, gear selection is more responsive and torque delivery is managed far more effectively — letting the drivetrain make full use of the increased power, safely and smoothly.

How it was done

All work was completed in-house on our 4WD linked V-Tech dyno, with a full health check before any tuning and live data logging throughout. The map was written for this exact car — its ECU variant, its fuel, its condition. No generic files. No shortcuts. Just precision calibration tailored to the vehicle, with the original software backed up so it’s fully reversible.
